Weather Update 29.05.2013


We had published  on 2.4.2013 in our blog ‘Scanastrology’ and also published  in our monthly magazine ‘Scan Astrology’ of May 2013, as under:
“There will be rainfall from 5.5.2013 after 1.30PM and heavy rainfall from 9.5.2013 and it will be maximum on 12.5.2013 and 13.5.2013.”
On 5.5.2013, many parts including capital Shimla  was lashed with high velocity winds accompanied by showers.
Fresh snowfall in the upper reaches of Rohtang Pass, Lahaul and Pangi valleys  recorded 10 cm snowfall.
The snow and rainfall had been recorded during the last 24 hours.A duststorm hit the capital and NCR and brought down temperature Snowfall and rain in Himachal at Saach Pass in Chamba, in Lahaul Valley, Rohtang Pass, Baralacha, Seven Sisters’ hill, Goshal hills, and Gangastang also received snowfall Shimla surrounding areas and many other parts of HP viz. Chamba, Bilaspur, Mandi, were lashed with rainfall.
Many parts of Punjab and Haryana reported rains and fall in temeperature.
On Sunday the 12th of May, 2013, people of Delhi and NCR got much relief as rains cooled the weather.
Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh got heavy rainfall. Kedarnath got snowfall and Doon valley rainfall.Weather conditions remained as above between 5.5.2013 to 13.5.2013.

Weather reports across India are showing the rise of mercury everywhere. Capital was 44.6 degrees on 20.5.2013, Allahabad in UP at 46 and same for many cities in  Punjab and Haryana also.
Churu in Rajasthan rcorded highest in India at 47.6 degrees. Kota in Rajasthan recorded 46.2, Bikaner 45, Jaipur 44.6 and Barmer 44.5 degrees centigrade.
Chandigarh recorded 42.1, Patiala 44.4, Amritsar and Ludhiana 45.4.
In Haryana, Hissar recorded 46 degrees, Ambala 42.8  and Narnaul 45.5. 
On 21.5.2013 Palam at Delhi recorded 46.7 degrees. UP has reported that many places temperature has gone above 46 degrees. Banda in UP recorded 46.8. Jhansi was at 45.4, Agra 45.8, Etawa at 44.8 and Allahabad at 44 degrees centigrade.
In Chandigarh temperature was at 42.9.  Many places in Punjab and Haryana were in between 43 to 46 degrees. It is being said that this weekend temperature in the capital will cross 47 degrees. If it is so, it will break 69 year old record. Temperature in Delhi on 24th May 1944, was 47.2 degrees.
On 22.5.2013, at 45.7 degrees it was hottest day in the Delhi in last eleven years. Amritsar in Punab recorded 48 degrees which is hottest day ever. In Faridabad it is 46.6 and Gurgaon 46.1. At Palam in Delhi temp. recorded as 47.2 degrees. Many places in Rajasthan are hovering around 45-48 dgrees. Virtually whole of north India is reeling under the intense heat wave.
On Wednesday, 23rd May  2013, city temp was at 44.9 degrees. The minimum temperatures are also rising in entire northern India which makes the situation for the people more acute, as there is no respite from heat at night also.
Shriganganagar in Rajasthan was 48.2 Churu, Kota and Bikaner in Rajasthan faced 45 degrees centigrade.
Amritsar in Punjab was at 47.2, Delhi recorded 44.9 degrees.
Banda in UP was at 46.8,
Bhiwani and Hissar in Haryana were in between 45-47 degrees.
In MP, Nawagaon recorded 46.4 degrees , Damoh at 46, Gwalior 45.2 and Riva at 45.2. Satna and Sidhi were at 45 degrees.
On 24.5.2013, Palam at Delhi recorded 47.2, Ayanagar at 47 and Delhi at 45 degrees. Sriganganagar was at 48.6.
In Andhra Pradesh, the intense heat
wave has killed 100 people in recent days.Rintichintala in Prakasham district was hottest and recorded 47.5 degrees, Hyderabad at 44,Vijawada,Visakhapatnam, Triputi and Niazamabad recorded 45 degee centigrades.
On 25.5.2013, the Safdarjang recorded 43.5 degrees whereas Palam was at 46.7.
Sriganganagar in Rajasthan was 48.6 degrees, Churu  at 45.3, Jaipur 43.4, Barmer 41.4, Bikaner at 42.4.
Etawah in UP was at 46.9, Nagpur in Maharashtra at 44.9, Jhasuguda in Odiaha at 46.7, Talcher at 46.2, Hirakud at 46.1 and Bolangir at 46 degrres centrigrade.
In MP Nawagaon and Khajurao were reeling at 47 degrees centigrade. North India was sizzling at 45.47 degrees. 
Hissar was at 46 degrees, Churu in Rajasthan at 45.3 degrees centigrade.
As per the forecast, it will continue up to 27.5.2013 after which some respite will be available to the people.                                                                                                      
Heat wave has claimed 8 lives in Punjab and Haryana.  Reports from Uttar Pradesh which are pouring in , many people have died due to intense heat wave which began on 14.5.2013.
On 25th May, 2013, four people have died in Gurgaon alone due to excessive heat.  Many more have been admitted to various hospitals in the city and also in other towns.
The number of people being admitted to various hospitals in the north India and in some other parts of the country is increasing at a galloping speed.

Weather update – 15-05-2013.

We had posted weather forecast for the month of May 2013 on 02.04.2013, which is as under:

"Mercury shifted to Aries on 29.04.2013.  It will cause positive magnetic field which is responsible for rainfall in northern India.  There will be fall in temperature on 29.04.2013 and 30.04.2013  Western disturbance on 02.05.2013.  It will cause the temperature to fall on 03.05.2013 up to 21.30 hours.  There will again be rainfall on 05.05.2013 up to 01.30 pm and heavy rainfall from 09.05.2013 and it will be maximum on 12.05.2013 and 13.05.2013."

Let us see how the weather forecast which was first posted in our blog 'Scanastrology' on 02.04.2013 and subsequently published in our monthly  bilingual magazine 'Scan Astrology' in May 2013 issue, published from New Delhi, actually happened.

05.05.2013 - Shimla, Himachal Pradesh - Snowfall in upper reaches of Rohtang Pass, Keylong in Lahual and Kalpa and Manali with high velocity winds and showers brought down the temperature in many parts of the State including Capital Shimla and surrounding areas.
Rain and snowfall continued in Himachal Pradesh and  parts of J&K.

Snowfall in tribal belt in Himachal Pradesh.  Highest temperature of the season was recorded on Friday.  Snowfall and rain  in HP as Saach Pass in Chamba, inb Lahaul Valley, Rohtang Pass, Baralacha, Seven Sisters’ hill, Goshal hills, and Gangastang also received snowfall.  Shimla and surrounding  areas and many other parts of the Himachal Pradesh viz. Chamba, Bilaspur, Mandi were lashed with rainfall.

On 12th May, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi and NCR were lashed with dust-storm and rainfall.  Clouds and rain brought to cheer to the people as they got reprieve from scorching heat.

On Sunday the 12th May, Delhi was cloudy and better.  Some places in Delhi got slight rain accompanied by strong winds which brought down the temperature.

Kedarnath shrine area felt snowfall whereas Doon valley was lashed with rains.

In another article on 15.04.2013, under the heading”Occurrence of a new Phenomenon, among other things had said that There will be rupture(landslide)  in hilly areas.

A landlslide in Aizwal, Mizoram killed 17 people, injured many.  There was huge destruction of property. Rescue operations were launched  by the State Disaster Response Force, police and the volunteers of Young Mizo Association.  Due to heavy rainfall on Sunday, rescue operations were hampered.
